Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

1/4 c. minced onion 1 clove garlic minced 1-1/2 t. minced jalapeño pepper 2 T. vegetable oil 1/2 c. tomato paste 1/2 t. chili powder 1/2 c. strong brewed decaffeinated coffee 2 T plus 1 t. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. less 1 T. cider vinegar 1/2 c. less 1 T. apple cider 1/4 c. brown sugar


Directions:

In a medium saucepan, sauté the onions, garlic and jalapeños in oil until they glisten, about 1 minute. Cover the pan, and cook until the onions are translucent, about 2 minutes. Stir in tomato paste and sauté 2 minutes more. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and bring to full boil. Reduce to simmer, and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes. Add juices from meat to barbecue sauce.
