Fettucine Alfredo con Prosciutto

Ingredients:

12 oz. package egg fettucine 1/3 ilb. Prosciutto di Parma cut into batons 2 T. butter 1 c. half and half 1 c. grated Parmigiano-Reggiano 2 pinches ground nutmeg Freshly ground black pepper Pinch of salt


Directions:

Bring salted water to a boil and cook pasta al dente. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the pan and melt. Add half and half and then cheese, stirring constantly. Cook 1 minute. Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Turn off the heat and add the pasta. Toss to coat evenly. Add prosciutto batons and toss to distribute evenly.
