Ingredients:

2-3/4 c. sugar 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate 3 T. butter 1 c. half and half 1 T. corn syrup 1 t. vanilla


Directions:

Grease an 8” x 8” pan with butter. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, chocolate, 1-1/2 T. butter, half and half and corn syrup. Over medium heat, stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar is dissolved and the chocolate is melted. Increase the heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and boil 3 minutes. Uncover and attach a candy thermometer and cook until the thermometer reads 234°F. Remove from heat and add the remaining butter. Do not stir. Let the mixture cool 10 minutes or until the temperaturl;mes matte. Let sit until cool. Do not refrigerate.
