Noodle Kugel (Lukshen Kugel)

Ingredients:

1 lb. medium egg noodles 6 medium eggs 1-1/2 c. milk 1 c. cottage cheese or pot cheese 1 c. sour cream 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. raisins (optional) 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans 1 T. cinnamon


Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles until just tender and drain. Beat the eggs in a large bowl. Add the milk, cheese, sour cream, white sugar and raisins. Beat together and add the noodles. Mix well. Pour into a buttered 10”x14” pan. Mix together the brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the noodles and bake for an hour, until the center is firm. Cool. Serve warm or at room temperature.
